This event was incredible! The art created using gourds was unbelievable. Photos were not permitted, though, much to my disappointment.JD Challenger, a very well known local artist, was the artist whose work pulled in the highest bid last night - over $17,000 for his gourd and pencil drawing. My friend, Andersen Kee, a Navajo artist, created a beautiful gourd that went for over $1,000.
This 4th annual "OUT OF YOUR GOURD" benefit is one of the most anticipated art events in Taos. My friend and Art Divas gallery owner, Sue Williford, is responsible for the live auction segment of this event.
