What fun! The local potters who use this wood fired kiln invited us to come out and help "unload" the kiln - we had to wear gloves because the items were still quite warm to the touch.Very exciting to see the finished pieces coming out of the kiln.....and to watch the faces of the potters as they saw their creations for the first time after firing.....very much a birthing process!
This firing required 24/7 vigilance and stoking for 12 days.....amazing!
