Saturday, Oct 29 - Halloween in Taos
This is a big day here - walking in town, everyone is dressed up in some costume, the people in the stores, the college students, great costumes!
John and Yoko showed up at the house .. Pintki and John's son, Jimmy (Yoko) and his wife, Kelly (John) won first prize at both Halloween parties they attended!
The proud parents, Pintki and John, are shown with John & Yoko. This is the living room at the house where I'm staying.
Had coffee today with my chef buddy, Joseph, who was generous with his referrals. I'd like to give something back to Taos - I'm already receiving so much - would be nice to be able to assist here while I'm here - we'll see what happens.
Turns out he and I have one more thing in common - his youngest brother has cystic fibrosis - and had a double lung transplant a year ago, and is doing well. He lives in CA, is going to USC for his master's program, and Joseph says his dad, an attorney now living in Denver, has a photo of his brother and Boomer on his wall. Very small world.
So I've sent an intro email to everyone that I"ve been referred to here, and will follow up in a few days. Wed I take Pintki and John to the airport for their trip to Hawaii and I'm off now to take pictures of their beautiful light center they call home.
