This was the hike today - this is the road that used to be the main road to Santa Fe - I've met people who remember driving it. And there are no guard rails!It's closed to car traffic now due to rock slides that they were unable to prevent. It is absolutely beautiful and awe-inspiring to walk this road, under and between these canyon walls that loom hundreds of feet above and below to the Rio Grande River.
